Im Norden des Parks, im Grapevine Canyon liegt Scotty's Castle . Dieses "Schloss" wurde für Albert Johnson -  ein Millionär aus Chicago - entworfen. Der 1922 begonnene Bau im spanisch-maurischen Stil ist nie ganz fertiggestellt worden.
Scotty's Castle wird vom National Park Service verwaltet, der täglich von 9 bis 17 Uhr Führungen durch das Anwesen anbietet.

Its popular name comes from Walter Scott, a cowboy, storyteller, publicity hound and Johnson's friend. One of  Scotty's stories, the Castle was his personal domain most of Scotty's "audience" believed.
The National Park Service now offers living history tours of fabulous interior.
